A Guide on How ToJoin the ANGBA Directory
The ANGBA Directory is a website feature that allows website users to browse the farms offering services such as goat breeding, goat sales, fiber and dairy sales, and guidance services including education and/or farm tours. Joining the ANGBA directory is a simple, one-time process, that should take less than 10 minutes provided you are currently a member in good standing. All you will need to complete the process of joining the ANGBA Directory is a short farm description (300 chars max) and an idea as to the kinds of services you are willing to offer.
STEP 1: Log In
Joining the ANGBA Directory requires that you be a member in good standing and to have a farm associated with your account. It also requires you to access the settings associated with your member account.
STEP 2: Access Settings
Once you have completed the process of logging in to the ANGBA website, you will need to access Account Settings.
- Click your member image, or member image and name depending on your device, in the upper right hand corner of your screen.
- Click on Account Settings.
STEP 3: Access Your Farm Settings
Farm settings allow users to update their farm information
- Click 'Update Farm'.
- A modal window that includes the settings associated with your farm should appear on your screen.
STEP 4: Update Your Farm Settings
Farm settings are variable depending on the user. If the user does not have a farm associated with their account the system will prompt them to submit a farm name and initials for consideration by the recorder. If the user is not currently a dues paying member, the system will only allow the user to write a short description of their farm but not join the ANGBA Directory. For a member in good standing, the system will offer a number of options related to inclusion in the ANGBA Directory.
Farm Description:
Write a short description (300 characters max) about your farm that will be visible in the ANGBA Directory to all website users should you opt to join the ANGBA Directory.
ANGBA Directory Inclusion Settings
These settings are directory related to information you want visible to the users of the ANGBA website
- ANGBA Directory: Changing this setting to INCLUDE will make your farm visible in the ANGBA Directory to all website users. Your entry in the directory will include your name, farm name, farm initials, region, and state.
- Include Email: If you opt to INCLUDE your email, it will be visible to all website users. If you select DO NOT INCLUDE, users will only be able to contact you through the ANGBA website by sending a request with their information included. As your farm is visible to you in the directory, it is recommended that you DO NOT INCLUDE your email, and test the email request system prior to opting to include your email.
- Include Phone: If you opt to INCLUDE your phone number, it will be visible to all website users. If you select DO NOT INCLUDE, your phone number will display as being unavailable.
- Include Address: If you opt to INCLUDE your address, your full address will be visible to all website users. If you select DO NOT INCLUDE, only your state and associated region will be visible to users should you opt to be included in the ANGBA Directory. Including your address is not recommended by the ANGBA.
Available Farm Services
These settings allow you to indicate services your farm offers to ANGBA Website Users. Simply check all that apply.
- Stud Services: Live Cover and Boarding.
- Guidance Services: Education and/or Farm Tours.
- Goat Sales: Subject to Availability and broken into categories for adults and kids.
- Dairy and Fiber Product Sales: Dairy and/or Dairy Products and Fiber and/or Fiber Products.
STEP 5: Updating your Information
You can update your information as many times as you need to and as often as your services change.
- Click UPDATE FARM.
- Your updated settings will be recorded and you will be directed back to the settings page.
STEP 6: Access the Directory
Each time you update your farm settings you should ensure that your information is complete and up-to-date by checking your farm's entry in the ANGBA Directory.
- Click on YOUR GOATS in the primary navigation bar.
- Click on the directory button on the left hand side of the screen.
- Locate your directory and click the information button to view all the available information associated with your farm.
